Michelle is a passionate environmentalist and her dedication to sustainability informs every aspect of her work including setting and implementing the firmwide sustainability strategy.

Michelle established and leads our in-house Green Team, who work directly with project teams to set and monitor project-specific sustainability goals aligned with client corporate ambitions.

In addition to her work across the practice, Michelle has contributed to over 30 LEED certified projects completed by BDP Quadrangle. Her environmental leadership also extends into existing buildings, specializing in complex renovation projects such as 99 Gerrard in Toronto, a 32-storey purpose-built rental tower added to an existing mixed-use building while keeping all offices and retail spaces fully operational.

Michelle is connected to a diverse network of green building professionals through her work serving on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council and Sustainable Buildings Canada as well as her ongoing contributions to the development of The City of Toronto’s Toronto Green Standard. She is also involved with academia, specifically participating in studios such as the Towards Half Studio on Embodied Carbon at The Daniels School at the University of Toronto and serving on Ryerson University Department of Architectural Science’s Program Advisory Committee.
