Dip.Arch., B.Sc. (Hons), ARB, CEPH
Edward Dymock is Human Space’s Associate Director in the UK, who champions inclusivity, accessibility and sustainability into the built environment across the region.
With more than 20 years at BDP, Ed brings a multi-disciplinary and international perspective to creating places that work for everyone. Ed is a design-focused architect and a Certified European Passivhaus Designer. Regardless of the scale of the project, Ed’s focus is the quality of the user’s experience. From community planning visions and master plans to railway stations and children’s nurseries, Ed seeks opportunities to translate user needs into thoughtful, human-centred solutions. He aims to provide an equitable and accessible environment, finding solutions and processes that limit the project’s environmental impact. Ed believes the built environment should not only provide ease of utility, but also bring delight to the lives of its users. Sustainability, he believes, comes down to kindness — kindness to each other, future generations and the planet.
Ed’s portfolio spans community masterplans, transport hubs, educational facilities, workplaces, and early-years environments — each shaped by a commitment to enhancing the lived experience. He is known for translating user needs into thoughtful, human-centred solutions, whether improving accessibility at a major rail station or creating nurturing spaces for children. His work on the redevelopment of Glasgow Queen Street Station exemplifies his ability to lead complex, high-impact projects from concept through detailed design.
A strong communicator and advocate, Ed plays a key role in overseeing Human Space’s presence in the UK. He works closely with colleagues in North America and across BDP to strengthen our inclusive design practice, expand awareness of our multidisciplinary capabilities, and champion built environments that support belonging, independence, and opportunity for all.
