Noida Airport Urban Development Guidelines

The Project

Human Space was selected by the Noida International Airport (NIA) to create a comprehensive set of urban development guidelines and a green campus concept landscape masterplan for the 1,334-hectare site.

This 300-page manual detailed urban and architectural design guidelines to ensure a cohesive visual identity and high design quality across various districts. This included landscape guidelines with specific hardscape, planting, and colour recommendations and real estate guidelines to promote connected and borderless development.

Additionally, Human Space designed culturally distinctive and green spaces, including Nukkads for local staff, linear parks, swale parks for stormwater management, forest parks using repurposed materials, and city-side farms for temporary activities, contributing to a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly, and high-quality public realm.

The completed standards will form a guiding toolkit for the concessionaries taken on board by Yamuna International Airport.
